AR coatings are designed to minimize natural back reflection. They consist of single wavelength, broadband, or multiple wavelength designs.
Dielectric Max Reflectors
Used with lasers, Max R coatings provide nearly complete reflection over a specific spectral range, absorbing negligible incident energy.
Metallic Reflectors
Usually aluminum, gold, or silver, metallic coatings offer the best performance/cost ratio of any reflective coating. Several dielectric coatings are available as overcoats to enhance reflectivity, durability and/or longevity of the underlying metal.
Beamsplitter Plates
Coated BK-7 or S1-UV Fused Silica, beamsplitter plates are compact and withstand higher power then cubes
Beamsplitter Cubes
Coated prisms are cemented together to form beamsplitter cubes. Transmitted beam is neither displaced or deflected and they produce no ghost images.
